Suzanne has worked at the Institute since 2007 and  is currently a CAGS candidate in the School of Educational Leadership at Plymouth State University. She holds the title of  Experienced/Master Teacher  in K – 12 Visual Arts certification for the State of New Hampshire. She earned her Master of Arts from New York University and her undergraduate degree in fine art and public relations from New England College.

She remains active in the K – 12 art education community and serves on the Board for the New Hampshire Art Educators’ Association. She has presented at State and National Art Educators’ conferences.  Prior to the Institute, Suzanne worked as a high school educator and administrator of the fine and performing arts at the John Stark Regional High School District where she led the school’s first school-wide and grant funded residency, Pathways to Learning, and implemented annual residencies over a span of three years. This was one of New Hampshire’s “all school” residency programs at the secondary level. She developed and taught a competitive AP Drawing course into the John Stark curriculum in addition to developing the Visual Art curricula during her tenure.

In her free time, Suzanne is also a painter and committed to maintaining her artistic voice throughout her professional career as an educator. She received a fellowship from the School at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005 and is fortunate to be surrounded by practicing artists who provide daily inspiration to think critically and create.
