 * Students staying in a residence hall during their residency will be charged $650 for the 10-day period. Students needing to rent bedding will be charged an additional $50. A $250 Housing Damage Deposit (only for students staying in residence halls during the residency periods) is assessed prior to each residency and will be refunded to the student, less any damage to the property.


MFA Refund Policy

Actual refund percentage depends on the official date of formal withdrawal. Please click here for the withdrawal form. 

  • Before the first day of the first week of classes: 100%
  • As of the first day of the first week of classes: 80%
  • As if the first day of the second week of classes: 50%
  • As of the first day of the third week of classes: 0%

Registration fees and the Residency fee are non-refundable.

MAT Refund Policy

Refunds for paid tuition for dropped or withdrawn classes are as follows:

    • Before the first day of the first week of classes: 100%
    • As of the first day of the first week of classes: 80%
    • As if the first day of the second week of classes: 50%
    • As of the first day of the third week of classes: 0%

Additional Fees and Penalties for MFA and MAT students

Late Payment Fee: All accounts 30 days or more in arrears are subject to a late payment fee of $200 per term and 1.5% per month, equivalent to 19.56% annual percentage rate.
Culminating Fee: $300

In addition to the above costs, we recommend that each student allow for additional expenditures for supplies and books.

Students concerned with paying tuition and fees costs are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA at fafsa.ed.gov. Our school code is 002579. Federal loans are available to qualifying students.
